World’s First ZEFIRO Train in China

We are currently delivering the world’s first ZEFIRO trains to the Chinese Ministry of Railways (MOR). These trainsets feature Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) sleeper cars capable of speeds up to 250 km/h. They meet the MOR’s growing need for comfortable long-distance travel.

In September 2009, we also won a groundbreaking contract to supply the MOR with 80 ZEFIRO 380 VHS trains. The new trainsets will be part of one of the world’s most advanced high speed rail networks. The first ZEFIRO 380 train is scheduled for delivery in 2012.
